Privacy policy
Tramline is built so your data stays on your Mac. Here is exactly what that means.
Last updated: November 8, 2026
The short version
No account, no analytics, no tracking. Tramline never reads what's inside your windows and never sends them anywhere.
What the app uses on your Mac
To arrange your windows, Tramline uses the macOS Accessibility permission to know where your windows are, how big they are and which app they belong to. This stays in memory on your Mac and is never transmitted.
Your settings and workspaces are saved in your user folder (~/Library/Application Support). You can delete them at any time, or use Uninstall in the app to remove everything.
Reporting a problem
If you choose Report a problem, Tramline writes a text file to your Downloads folder (app and macOS versions, screen sizes, your settings and the end of the engine log) and opens a draft email. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself, and you can read or edit the file first.
Updates and licence
When automatic updates are available, the app regularly asks our server whether a new version exists. That request only contains the app version, the macOS version and your Mac's processor type.
When you buy Tramline, payment is handled by [prestataire de paiement], which acts as the seller of record and processes your name, email address and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details to deliver your licence and help you. To activate your licence, the app sends your licence key for verification.
